Hello, my name is Tom Diddel, and I am excited to be the Structured Learning Program teacher at Lewis and Clark. This is my second year at Lewis and Clark and sixth year working in the MCPS school district. In my free time I enjoy skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. I have a dog named Sansa and a cat named Grey.

I am passionate about helping students work through the social and emotional difficulties that can come with school.

The Structured Learning Program schedule is as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday the students attend school from 8:45am to 2:30pm.

On Thursdays their school day runs from 8:45am to 1:45pm.

From 8:45 to 9:00 students check in with the SLP staff, eat breakfast, set a goal for the day, and are given the option for a quick movement break.

At 2:15pm to 2:30pm (1:30pm to 1:45 on Thursdays) students check out in the SLP room and go over their daily goals and point sheet.
