I am so excited to be a part of the Jeannette Rankin community.  My own children attended Cold Springs Elementary and it has always had a special spot in my heart. 

I have been in Missoula County Public Schools for 31 years. I was a 7th grade teacher, coach,  Assistant Principal, and Principal at Meadow Hill Middle School for 25 years of my career.  The last 6 years, I have been at Jeannette Rankin.  It seems like yesterday we moved from Cold Springs and now my first kindergartners are 5th graders.   I am so excited about working with my amazing teachers, my wonderful students, and my amazing families. I also appreciate our beautiful building so much.  I am so grateful to work with all of your children.  Being in elementary is so wonderful and I just love watching the excitement of these younger learners.  

I am married and have two children.  My children are Darian and Thomas and are now 26 and 24.  Darian lives in Park City, Utah and Thomas lives at home with my husband and I.  Darian just graduated from the University of Utah and is looking for employment.  She retired from her ski career last year.  Thomas is a poker dealer and also a poker player.  He will be finishing school and he is studying Finance.    Enjoy every moment with your children as it goes by so fast.  I can't believe mine are so old. 

The picture I posted is from South Korea.  This was when  my daughter competed in the Winter Olympics in Slopestyle.   It was an unbelievable experience.  Both of my kids are amazing skiers.  My daughter lives in Park City, Utah and comes home about four times a year.  I will go see her at Thanksgiving.  She also competed in the Olympics in China and was the only American to make finals in Big Air. We were not able to go to China due to Covid.  She retired in May of last year after having her 5th ACL knee surgery.  Skiing can be brutal on the knees. 

As you can imagine, we all love to ski but when it is not winter I enjoy many things.  I love to hike and especially love Glacier National Park.  I love golf even though I am not great at it.  I love to exercise and ride my bike.  I am also learning pickleball and play with my son as often as he will play with me.  I am an avid sports fan and this summer got to see my first NWSL game.  I love soccer as my son played in high school.  We got to watch San Diego Wave vs FC Gotham NF/NY.  It was amazing to see.  You will also see me rooting on the Griz with all the sports they play.  I love the fall and football games and love the start of the new school year when students are so excited about being back.
