Welcome back to 5th Grade!!!  We will be starting the year in Phase 1, which is a hybrid format, 1/2 class in-person while the other 1/2 class works remotely. It was created in order to decrease physical contacts while still being able to get some in-person instruction and socialization.

The phase 1 schedule for the next few weeks has students arriving between 8:15-8:30.  They will be allowed straight into the building to report to their classroom.  No lining up outside.  If your student arrives after 8:30, they must check in with the front office before coming to our classroom. Students will be dismissed at 2:10 every day.

5th Grade Virtual Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, September 1st, from 6:30-7:00pm.  I will send the link to the meeting through dojo and email. I have a presentation about 5th grade to show you then will answer questions . Hopefully, I know the answers :)

At this time, there is no band or orchestra.  Specialists will happen on a 3 week rotation.

Each student will set an individual page goal for each trimester.  They need to read 100 minutes per week to reach it. Meeting this goal is a significant part of their reading grade. Please talk with your child about how to a make plan that works best for your family. In order to become great readers-- we need to read!
