Russell School serves approximately 400 students in grades K-5. The school, which was built in 1960, is located in central Missoula. Russell Elementary was named after Charles Marion Russell, a Montana painter and sculptor who is famous for his paintings of the old West. As part of the Missoula County Public Schools' bond project, Russell School was remodeled and classrooms added in 2018.
