• Franklin Elementary PTA-------------------

You are invited to join us at our Franklin PTA Meetings!

Our meetings are held on the second Monday of each month during the school year, at 6:30 p.m.

We are currently meeting virtually. Meeting links are sent out through school texts and email. Please reach out to us at franklinpta1910@gmail.com to be added to our email list and receive meeting information and updates about PTA meetings, projects, and school news.

What does the Franklin PTA do?

We are dedicated to working with Franklin Elementary School teachers and staff to support the education and growth of every child who attends the school.

We raise funds to support in-school activities and needs such as:

    • Class field trips
    • The school garden
    • The Proud Paw school store
    • Classroom recycling program
    • Library materials subscriptions
    • Instrument rentals for band and orchestra students
    • Playground improvements and upgrades

… and other needs as they arise!

We also coordinate events such as teacher appreciation breakfasts and luncheons, the Scholastic Bookfair, a Franklin Family Fun Night, and the Franklin All-School Walkathon.

You can choose to be involved as little or as much as you’d like.

Just want to stay in touch with what’s going on at the school? Great! Email us and we’ll add you to our list so you can stay in the loop. You can also follow the Franklin PTA Facebook page for timely updates on school news and activities!

Do you want to spend more time in the classroom and working on projects? We also help the school by volunteering during school picture days, hearing screenings, school store days, and other events.

Have a specific project you’d like to see happen at Franklin?

Please email us! We have several committees focusing on specific issues, and we may already be talking about it, or we can take it up during a meeting.

    Current committees include:

    Garden Committee

In conjunction with Garden City Harvest, supporting the Franklin school garden and Farmer in the Classroom program, programs which support and deepen our childrens’ connection with their food, seasonal growing cycles, and the natural world.

    Membership Outreach & Diversity

    Playground Improvements
