  • Summer Garden Opportunities

The Franklin School Garden will be open this summer! Franklin students and Garden City Harvest staff have been working hard to prepare and plant the garden with vegetables like sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and more! Families are welcome to visit the garden and take home veggies through the Open Garden Hours and Summer Garden Volunteers programs.

    Summer Garden Volunteers

Weekly, beginning the week of June 19th

We are looking for folks to volunteer to care for the garden each week of the summer. You’ll help by opening the garden for a couple of hours during the week, whenever it fits into your schedule. We encourage you to do some light weeding and harvesting. Some perks of the job: taking home free, fresh produce and enjoying the outdoors.

Interested? Great! Email Sarah, School Garden Manager at sarahrodgers@gardencityharvest.org to sign up. Franklin Summer Garden Volunteers Sign Up Sheet 2023

    Open Garden Hours – Thursdays, 9am-12pm – June 22nd- August 17th

School Garden Manager Sarah will be in the garden every Thursday morning this summer. Come visit the garden, help out, learn about gardening, connect with neighbors, and take home some fresh fruits and vegetables.

Questions? Contact Sarah, School Gardens Manager:  (406) 272-3563 or sarahrodgers@gardencityharvest.org
