  • Welcome! I look forward to teaching you in orchestra and ukulele class at Big Sky! My goal is to give every student the tools to make music a meaningful part of their life no matter what career path they choose! 

    About Ms. Lee

    Kira Lee holds a degree in Music Education from Montana State University in Bozeman and a Master of Music with an emphasis in String Pedagogy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education through Boston University. Kira currently teaches in the Missoula County Public School System where she directs the Big Sky High School orchestras, 5th grade beginning strings, and teaches a ukulele elective. She has taught for MizZuki (Missoula Suzuki) and currently maintains a small private studio. Kira enjoys leading the 2nd violin section of the Missoula Symphony, performing with the String Orchestra of the Rockies and playing chamber music of all eras and styles with colleagues from around the state. Her primary teachers and music education influences include Angella Ahn, Johan Jonsson, Darcy Drexler, Bernard Zinck and Christian Howes. In addition to teaching and playing music Kira enjoys reading, knitting, yoga, and cross country skiing.
