"In a world where you can be anything... Be KIND! "

Hello!  I am so excited to be your child's 2nd grade teacher!  This is my 11th year teaching at Russell School, and my 9th year in 2nd grade.  I spent two years teaching 5th graders and have loved my last eight years with 2nd graders. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana with a Library Media Endorsement in the Spring of 2012. I earned my Master's Degree in K-6 Reading and Literacy in August of 2016.

I grew up in Dillon, MT where my Mom just retired after her 40th year of teaching and my Dad was a Civil Engineer for the US Forest Service and is now retired from that and driving school bus.  I have an older brother, Brian, who is a dispatcher for the Beaverhead County Sheriff's Department in Dillon, and a younger sister, Taryn, who is a Registered Nurse working in Helena.  I love sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.  I love the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics, and Denver Broncos. My boyfriend Kris and I have two Miniature Australian Shepherds named Roma Bella and Lucan Kai. We had another Mini Aussie, Milo Grey, who sadly passed away in the Spring of 2022. We love to take them to Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge to go for walks along the river.

To assist in making this a positive experience for your child,  please contact me with any questions and/or concerns.  My number at school is (406) 728-2400 ext. 4818 or you can email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. A monthly newsletter will be sent home to keep you informed of happenings in our classroom.  Thank you for sharing your child with me!
