    What is Occupational Therapy?

School Occupational Therapists are key contributors within the school education team. We support a student's ability to participate within the daily school activities and support their academic achievement and promote positive behaviors. Generally we support academic and non-acedemic outcomes in the areas of social skills, writing, behavior management, self-help skills, sensory-motor and participation. A student will typically go through an evaluation process and qualify for an IEP and receive services. As a Therapist we work with students, parents, teachers and other staff that are an integral part of a student's day.
