Open Enrollment

 Open Enrollment will be from Monday, November 3rd through Monday, November 17th.  This enrollment will be for a January 1, 2026 effective date.

ALL ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES WILL NEED TO ENROLL OR WAIVE BENEFITS THIS YEAR ON A NEW PLATFORM (more information to come)

Premiums will be increasing in 2026 for all plans. The plan designs will not be changing.  

Between now and November 3rd please contact Kacy Hankins at khankins@mcpsmt.org or 406-728-2400 ext.1044 with any specific questions you may have regarding open enrollment and the insurance benefits.

NEW Mutual of Omaha Benefits: January 1, 2026

Starting January 1, 2026, Missoula County Public Schools will offer new voluntary benefits to employees working 30 hours or more per week.  Employees will have the option to enroll in.

  • Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
  • Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance (including cancer coverage)
  • Voluntary Accident Insurance

Missoula County Public Schools is also moving the UNUM Voluntary Long Term Disability plan to Mutual of Omaha.

All employees must enroll or waive these benefits via the new enrollment platform, Employee Navigator.  During the initial enrollment period, there are opportunities for guaranteed coverage.  If employees do not elect now, it may impact their options for future annual enrollments.

Employee Navigator

NEW this year, MCPS employees must enroll in all coverages through Employee Navigator.  All Eligible employees will receive an email from Employee Navigator close to or on the first day of Open Enrollment.
