Week of October 21st
Posted by Amy Petrini on 10/23/2019 6:00:00 PM
This week I included an additional piece of homework with a small research question about how an animal of their choice sleeps. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. As a reminder, homework is due on Fridays, but please take the weekend if needed and definitely have it in by Monday. Conferences are coming soon and there is an Effort grade given for homework on their report card.
Volunteers: Thanks for letting me know if you have turned in your forms to clear you. I have still not confirmed a start date quite yet. Thanks for your patience as I prepare how you can best use your time in our class.
We will have a Halloween celebration next week after lunch. Here is a link to sign-up genius if you would like to donate your time and or ideas/items needed.

Here is a note from our principal:
Halloween
We look forward to having a fun day on Halloween! Here are our guidelines and expectations for that school day:
- Costumes must conform to the Rattlesnake School Dress Code.
- Costumes may not be demeaning to any ethnic group, race, religion, nationality, disabilities, gender, or individual (staff or student) at the school.
- Costumes may not cause a disruption or distraction to the school program.
- No weapons, toy weapons, or props replicating weapons (sorry no light sabers either!) are to be brought to school.
- No costumes are allowed that would completely hide the identity of the student, i.e. Hazmat suit, gorilla suit, "Scream" character. Face paint shouldn’t cover more than 50% of the face (again we want to know who you are).
- No full face masks are permitted (they may not be worn OR carried)
*** Also, students need to bring their costumes in a labeled bag to change into after lunch.
Look for a sign-up genius message going out on the 29th to sign up for a conference time. I look forward to seeing you all.
Please check my webpage on our school site for questions that you may have regarding birthdays, homework, wish lists, etc.
