The District supports and encourages active use of social media by our staff, coaches and administrators.  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social networks provide an opportunity for students, parents, and staff to stay connected and informed.

In accordance with MCPS Social Media Guidelines, all staff must seek pre-approval from their administrator for classroom, activity, or school-based social media accounts. The Social Media Reporting Form must be completed. 

Please note that some Facebook groups or other accounts are available only to those students or parents who are affiliated with a particular class or group. To request membership in a closed group, contact the classroom teacher or the group's leader.
