I was born in the Chicago suburbs and lived most of my younger life growing up there. I attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, a small Division III college where I majored in Biology and played collegiate volleyball, basketball, softball, and tennis. I received my teaching degree at MacMurray as well and began my teaching career in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I taught 7th grade Life Science for eleven years as well as coached basketball and softball. While teaching in Idaho Falls, I attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, where I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I moved to Missoula, Montana in 2002 to join the MCPS staff. I am a Mindful Schools Certified Mindfulness Instructor. I have been an educator for 30 years and love teaching. I am currently teaching Elective courses in Mindfulness and writing and am the HiSET Options Program teacher.
