Teacher Bio - Mrs. Malerk has lived in Missoula since 1995. She moved here from Heidelberg, Germany, as her husband, LTC Don Malerk was the ROTC Professor of Military Science and Commander at the University of Montana. Knowing this was a wonderful place to raise a family, we found our home here in beautiful Missoula.
Our sons, Kyle and Ryan, have successfully completed their education in Missoula area and MCPS Schools (Target Range, Cold Springs, CS Porter, Sentinel) and graduated from the University of Montana. Go GRIZ!
Currently, Don is the Human Resources Manager for Direct TV/AT & T.
Kyle is a Medical Service Corps Officer in the US Army, currently stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He and Jessica (Rudy) Malerk got married in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 13, 2015.
Ryan is a Process Improvement Specialist at Zillow in Seattle, Washington. He and Katlyn (Stuart) Malerk were married in Everett, Washington on April 26, 2015.
Mrs. Malerk was born in Rabat, Morocco and has traveled extensively due to her military family member opportunities.
She been a Special Education teacher since 1981 in many school systems: California, Germany (twice), Missouri, West Virginia, Kansas and Montana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from West Chester University, PA and a Master of Education degree from the University of Oklahoma, OK.
She also obtained her Montana Educator and Administrative license (K-12) from The University of Montana in Missoula.
Our family loves outdoor activities such as running, skiing, biking, sailing, swimming, hiking, golfing, and enjoying fun times with family and friends.
