Teacher Profile

  • Jenell Roberson-Health and Physical Education Teacher, Assn. Swim Team Coach

    • My name is Jenell Roberson, I am new to Big Sky High School this year, and already loving it! I moved to Missoula in the summer of 2022 with my two teenage sons. For some personal background information, I taught PE and Health in Gwinnett County, Georgia for 8 years, and preschool for 5 years. I coached for a local swim team for 3 years.

Here in Missoula, I am also an assistant coach for the MCPS swim team, including Big Sky, as well as Frenchtown, Hellgate, Loyola, and Sentinel high schools. I coach for the Missoula Aquatic Club as well.

I am excited about the opportunities in the high school setting to learn about how our health choices effect our physical lifestyle. I believe health and physical education are the MOST important classes in the building, because without physically able bodies to live healthy lives, everything else is secondary.

I invite students to ask questions, and empower them to be good communicators. I believe high school students should learn to advocate for themselves and become productive, valuable members of their society.

Parents, please encourage your child to ask for help at any time. My office door is always open to discuss any issues, concerns, or even show outstanding progress to brag about. Parents and guardians are also welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns at jroberson@mcpsmt.org or by calling the school.
