Hello Big Sky Students and Families,

Welcome back to school! I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Crissina Quinn and I am the new Dean of Students at Big Sky. I graduated from Big Sky in 2009 (go Eagles!) and attended both university systems for degrees in secondary education. I taught social studies and English for 6 years at Seeley-Swan High School, while taking on many other roles. I am so excited to be back at Big Sky and to be part of such an exceptional learning community!

Although we are in unprecedented times and will undoubtedly face some challenges, we are excited to have students back in the building and begin working toward some sense of normalcy. While we have accommodated for additional behavior expectations relating to our current pandemic situation, we would like to remind you of the Eagle Code: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Resilient, BE AN EAGLE. In addition to our established behavior expectations, students are expected to wear masks at all times when not eating breakfast or lunch, maintain adequate social distance from one another, practice proper hygiene, keep workspaces clean, and follow the established protocols. Most importantly, we want to encourage our students to strengthen their sense of resiliency and advocate for themselves by seeking out resources or supports that will help guide them toward a successful 2020-21 school year. We must remember that we are all in this together and it is essential that we all do our part to ensure the health and safety of one another and allow for continued face-to-face instruction.

As the Dean of students, my overall objective is to ensure students are successful at Big Sky by maximizing their academic potential. I monitor behavior, attendance, student achievement, and promote a positive school environment. It is my goal to ensure that students at Big Sky are known, supported, and motivated. I pride myself on advocacy for all students and strive to provide the resources necessary for academic, social, and behavioral success.

I look forward to getting to know all of you. Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding academics, attendance, student achievement, student involvement, or any other school policies or procedures. Let’s all have a safe and fantastic school year!
