I am so excited to be back at Big Sky High School as the Dean of Students! I am a Montana native, growing up in Missoula and graduating from Big Sky, and then graduating from both Montana university institutions with bachelor's degrees in Social Studies Broadfield and English Teaching, as well as my master's degree in Educational Leadership. This will be my first year at Big Sky and my sixth year with the district. I have taught a variety of subjects including U.S. history, American literature, psychology, sociology and criminology, drama, and a freshman seminar course. In addition, I held the Family Resource Specialist position for nearly four years; co-facilitated the implementation and application of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS); coordinated the introduction of a social and emotional learning program, School-Connect; and coordinated and facilitated a 21st Century Community Learning Center after-school program.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and being part of such an exceptional learning community. Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding academics, attendance, student achievement, student involvement, or any school policies or procedures.
