MCPS parents who have a Hotmail, Live, MSN, or Outlook email account are having sporadic trouble receiving mass emails sent by your school, the school district, or your student’s teacher when they use this mass communications tool. This is due to a problem with our mass communications tool, hosted by Blackboard.
We are working with our vendor to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions about this issue. The problem is impacting other school districts who use their service as well.
If you want to stay up to date on the messages that are being sent, here are your options:
- Log into your account at mcpsmt.parentlink.net, click on Inbox to see all of your messages
- Log into the MCPS app by clicking on the Student Info button, then enter your ParentLink login ID and password. Then click the Notifications button on the home screen.
If you need your log in credentials, please contact the secretary at your student’s school.
If you need help getting logged in on a web browser or on the app, please visit this ParentLink Help Page.
We will notify parents as soon as our vendor has fixed this problem.
I apologize for the inconvenience and disruption this problem may have caused for our families. Our school district places a high priority on keeping communication channels open because we know that is how you stay engaged in your child’s education.
