    Dear Paxson Community,

    Thank you for your patience on this information regarding recommended changes to the DLI program.  As you may be aware, the MCPS administration and Paxson staff have been reviewing the DLI program and have made some recommendations for changes in the 2022/23 school year.

    To explain the process and program changes, we have created an FAQ document with several important links.  We also have a link on the document to submit additional questions.  The FAQ can be found HERE.

    The changes that have been recommended will be discussed by the MCPS Board of Trustees at their next meeting (June 14, 6pm).  At this meeting, the administration will present the recommended changes as well as describe the rationale for these changes. The Board will have an opportunity to discuss the changes and receive public comment before taking any action on the recommended changes. 

    Board meetings are in-person meetings and open to the public. The full agenda for the Board meeting will be published at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting and published on our district website at this LINK.  Public, including staff, are welcome and encouraged to attend and provide public comment.  If you are unable to attend and you would like to provide comment, you can provide written comment to the Board by using the following email: publiccomment@mcpsmt.org

    In addition, Paxson is hosting an informational presentation and a facilitated Q/A session on Wednesday, June 1 at 5:30pm in the Paxson gym.  This meeting was rescheduled from the meeting that was postponed on May 25.  MCPS administration as well as Paxson staff will be in attendance at the presentation and will be able to answer questions from parents or other interested community members.
