What doesn't kill me, gives me XP.
Hello! My name is Christopher Morigeau, but everyone just calls me Chris. I am beyond excited to be at Willard, and hope to put down some serious roots here. A few of the basic things about me. I grew up in Ronan, MT and spent the last three years commuting there to teach Special Education. As a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, it was an awesome experience to teach tribal students, and act as a positive role model for them on my home reservation. When I graduated (many years ago) I moved to Missoula, and have called it home pretty much since then. I had to move back to Ronan a couple of times, but Missoula always called me back. I graduated from Salish Kootenai College with a degree in Elementary Education and then went on to get my Endorsement in Special Education from UM-Western. Currently I am taking classes at the UM for Educational Leadership, and will be starting at Western again in the spring to get an endorsement in Health Enhancment.
Some fun things about me. I am married to an amazingly awesome woman (as of the summer of 2018) and we have two kids, 11 and 9. My kids both love Star Wars and Panic! at the Disco, so I know I am doing something right there. My wife is a blessing, who gives my life much needed balance, and I am thankful for her every day. She may be in line for sainthood someday for the patience she has to have to put up with me. :) In my free time I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, graphic novels, video games, movies, board games, fantasy football, and just about any other geeky thing that catches my interest. I like to hike the surrounding areas, as long as it's a mellow hike (you will not find me at the top of Mount Jumbo, but we might cross paths at the M). And like many people, I love travelling (though I am petrified of planes) and look forward to seeing more of the world in the coming years.
