This is my seventh-year teaching Computer Applications and my fifth year teaching PLTW here at Meadow Hill. I began my teaching career in Pablo, where I taught first and third grade. I then moved to Clinton and taught first grade again. I then made a big jump to middle school. At Rattlesnake Middle School I taught seventh grade Creative Communications, eight grade Math and Communication Arts. When Rattlesnake closed, I moved over to Porter where I taught seventh grade Math, Social Studies, Communication Arts, H/P.E. During my time at Porter I also was attending graduate school. I earned a masters in Technology Education and an endorsement in Business/Information/Technology/Education. I decided to put my new degrees to work and began teaching Computer Applications. I am now in my ninth-year teaching technology and business to middle school students. I am a master teacher for Project Lead The Way, which means I travel the country training teaching how to teach PLTW courses. Currently I am teaching Green Architecture, App Creators, and Computer Science for Innovators and Makers through the Project Lead the Way Curriculum.
I have taken on a new role this year for the district as the Career Technology Coordinator. This means that I will at the administration building for the first part of my day and then back at Meadow Hill teaching the second half of my day.
