This is my second year at Big Sky - in this decade. I taught at Big Sky for 8 years in the 90's then took about 20 years off to design and teach college field courses in watershed science through the University of Montana. I am excited to be back at Big Sky after that long hiatus, now teaching Integrated Science 1, Biomedical Innovations, and coordinating the Health Science Academy.
As an undergraduate, I studied Geology and Natural Science at the University of Puget Sound. After graduating with a B.S. and a teaching credential, I worked as a naturalist and field instructor in northern Minnesota and Maine. Before beginning my first stint at Big Sky, I completed my Master's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana in 1989.
My husband and I have lived in Missoula for almost 30 years now and are lucky to have two amazing daughters, two dogs with a total of 7 legs, and 100,000 honeybees. In 2018/19 I'm looking forward to a great year at Big Sky!
