  • Welcome to the Resource Room!

Hello, I’m Brigette Hendrix, the K-5 Resource teacher. 2023 marks my 10th year at Paxson Elementary School where, together with a team of three para-educators, I will assist students with skill development in core academic subjects and social/emotional learning. I began my career in 1988 after graduating from Seattle Pacific University. Over the next 17 years, I taught mostly in 5-8th grade classrooms in Washington, California, and the Missoula area and earned my Masters degree from San Jose State University. With a curiosity to learn about the world, I have used summers to travel in six continents.

When my two now teenage sons were born, I returned to school for my special education endorsement at the University of Montana and joined the Paxson staff in 2014. I love the vitality of the school environment and feel privileged to work with Paxson’s amazing students and talented staff. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me enjoying Montana’s great outdoors, hiking, biking, or skiing. Indoors, I enjoy playing the violin, guitar, and piano. I'm excited for the new year at Paxson and look forward to working with new and returning students!
