This is my sixth year teaching 5th grade at Franklin Elementary School.  I am also the IB Coordinator, which means I am co-teaching with Ms. Fischer. I teach in the afternoon from 12:00-3:30 and Ms. Fischer teaches from 8:30-12:00. This allows me time in the day to work with other staff and students as we continue to implement IB components into our school.

I have a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Administration. I started teaching in 1989, and have taught in Oregon, Alaska and Montana. My educational experience includes teaching grades K-12, building principal for grades K-12, and a district office administrator. I am in the classoom again because my heart is with the kids. Building friendships with the kids and their families is what learning is built upon.

When I am not in the school teaching or preparing to teach, I am enjoying life to the fullest with my husband Greg and my two children, Madison and Alex.
