Although I have been teaching since 1986, this is only my fifth year with Missoula County Public Schools.  In addition to teaching three sections of 7th grade science, I will also be the half-time IB coordinator for Washington Middle School this year.

Prior to becomming a teacher, I studied Physics for two years at Rutgers University in New Jersey where I grew up.  I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Montana in Elementary Education in 1986.  I also earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1993 from UM.  I have my National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Science and am Montana's Presidential Award winner for Excellence in Science for the year 2014.

I am married and have two sons.  My husband, Keith, works as an engineer for the US Forest Service. My oldest son, Anders, graduated from MSU in computer science and is currently working for Advanced Technology Group in Missoula.  My youngest son, Eric, lives and works in New York.
