Business Department LeaderDECA Advisor
I have been an instructor at Big Sky High School for 11 years. I have also taught at Seeley-Swan High School for many years. I teach two dual credit courses: Intro to Business and Accounting. Intro to Business course is three college credits; Accounting is a four college credit course. IB Business Management, Marketing, Graphics Design, and Computer Applications are also classes available for students. Both dual credits are affiliated with the University of Montana and Missoula College. I am especially proud to be the advisory of our outstanding DECA club here at Big Sky. The professionalism and drive of these students is truly amazing.
Prior to teaching, I worked in corporate retail management for 27 years. I retired in 1997 and I realized that teaching business was what I wanted as my second career so I went for it and have never regretted my decision.
Besides my experience in the business world, I have a BS in Business from Eastern Montana College (MSU-Billings), a BA in Business Information and Technology from the University of Montana, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana.
Using my past experience in management and teaching, I would like to influence, motivate, and maintain principles of good character in students.
