I am Mary Fillmore, also known as "Fill." I have been working with Missoula County Public Schools since 2000. I have taught at Sentinel (one year), CS Porter (five years) and Big Sky (starting my 19th year).
I am Co-Department lead for Family Consumer and Science at Big Sky High School.
Education has always been an important part of my life. With a BS in Home Economics from The University of Montana, a MS in Education from Lesley College, and numerous classes from Utah State University and Montana State University-I am a Grizzly at heart.
In the fall of 2023, I am excited about teaching our new Early Childhood Education, Child Adolescence and Education 101 classes. With twelve years of experience as a lead teacher in a preschool, along with five years of experience working with ASUM Child Care at The University of Montana, I am excited to offer Big Sky students a variety of experiences in our new Education pathway. At The University of Montana, I was responsible for helping local homes become registered child care providers for UM students and their families.
I will also teach Hospitality and Tourism.
Go Eagles!
