Microschool Pilot

Missoula County Public Schools is launching a microschool pilot program for the 2026-2027 school year, starting with a 6th-grade cohort of 60 students at Washington Middle School and CS Porter Middle School. This "school-within-a-school" model is designed for students who thrive in smaller, highly collaborative environments with a focus on real-world, project-based learning (PBL).

2026-2027 Lottery Applications Now Open

Missoula County Public Schools is pleased to announce that for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, there will be 60 spots available per school (CS Porter and Washington) for students entering 6th grade this fall.

Important Dates:

  • Applications are due by Friday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m.
  • The lottery will be held on Tuesday, May 12th and parents will be notified by phone.
