Career & Technical Education (CTE)
The Missoula County Public Schools Career and Technical Education Curriculum challenges students to develop critical thinking skills; citizenship responsibilities; communication competency; value for the arts, literature, and sciences; understanding of the importance of health and wellness; a love for learning; and preparation for life beyond high school regardless of their vocational pathway. It incorporates authentic problem solving and applications with a variety of assessment techniques.

Agriculture Education
The Missoula Agriculture Center hosts the largest and most dynamic indoor and outdoor classrooms in the Missoula County Public School System. The Missoula Agriculture Center is located just past Big Sky High School on South Avenue. The staff at the Agriculture Center utilize 100 acres of farm land and Agri-Science labs to teach hands-on labs with a science based curriculum. Students from Hellgate, Sentinel and Big Sky all have to opportunity to enroll in classes that provide real world experience working in the construction & engineering lab, animal science center and greenhouse. The Agriculture Center was establish over 80 ago and has a rich history and tradition in the community while at the same time staying current and up to date with today's ever changing technology. Students who enroll in Agriculture Education also have the opportunity to be a member of the award winning Missoula FFA Program.

Business & Marketing
There are in excess of 165 Business and Marketing Education programs and 280 teachers in the public high schools of Montana. These programs and teachers are dedicated to the preparation of students for a world-class workforce. Through communication, professional development, and coordination of talent, a determined effort is under way to make Montana a great place for students to meet their career goals and for employers to be confident in the relevance of skills being taught and learned.
The program aims to strengthen individuals' foundational skills in listening, speaking, writing, computing, problem-solving, and computer literacy. It also seeks to enhance each person's self-concept and motivation to succeed. A key goal is to support the development of both formal and informal educational plans that promote ongoing learning. Additionally, the program focuses on building occupational competence, enabling individuals to secure employment aligned with their qualifications and to create and implement a career development plan responsive to personal goals and technological advancements. It emphasizes the development of positive interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as fostering economic competence to help individuals become productive citizens and informed consumers of resources, goods, and services.

Health Sciences
Montana’s rapidly growing Career and Technical Education program is Health Science. Health Science courses prepare students for further education and/or immediate employment in health care fields. The purpose of Health Science programs in high school is to teach essential knowledge and skills needed by health care providers based on the National Health Science Standards that address:

Industrial Technology & Trades
Industrial Trades and Technology Education is a study of technology and industry, which provides an opportunity for students to learn about the processes and knowledge related to Industrial Trades and Technology that are needed to solve problems and extend human capabilities. The strength of Industrial Trades and Technology Education is that of a hands-on approach that adds an emphasis of the technological nature of life and industry. Nationally, the majority of industrial trade area employers report a huge shortage of skilled workers, with the prospects of filling thousands of current or new, well-paying jobs becoming a major crisis as new technologies emerge and current employees reach retirement age.
