Kammy K. Meyers
I am incredibly grateful to serve as the Assistant Principal at Porter Middle School. As a passionate educator, I value collaborative relationships, high-impact practices, and the joy of fostering a love of learning. I am dedicated to our mission to empower, engage, and inspire every student at Porter within a safe, stable, and supportive learning environment. I hope to promote wellness, engagement, safety, and inclusion for all Porter community members. I have PORTER PRIDE!
I have had a dynamic educational career since 2006. My experience in multiple school districts at the elementary, middle, and university level has enabled me to develop a broad skill set as an educator and leader. I have taught every grade and multiple content areas within three school districts and as an adjunct literacy education professor at the University of Montana. I can honestly say that I truly love working with middle school students! I am looking forward to the opportunity to amplify my impact as a school leader.
I am an avid lifelong learner and reader. My secondary degrees include a BA in Elementary Education, an MA in Reading and Mathematics, Educational Leadership Endorsement, and K-12 Literacy Endorsement. Beyond my degrees and training, you can also find me playing tag or pick-up basketball with the kids at recess. I am a firm believer in the balance of work and play!
While education is my jam, I have an active life outside of school. I spend a lot of time in the mountains and on the rivers in my beloved home state. I love sports, Go Griz! I am also a group fitness instructor at Peak Health and Wellness.
I value open communication, so please reach out to me anytime. Go Porter Cougars!
