Welcome to Kindergarten! This is a fun and exciting year for learning. I am so excited to be your teacher. I graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, WV with a degree in Elementary Education and Prek-K. I had several long term substitute positions in Prek and K in Leavenworth, Kansas before taking a job in Bonner Springs, Kansas teaching Kindergarten and serving as a math tutor. I then had several years off to raise my two children as we continued to move around the country as a military family. I began teaching again in California where I taugh 2nd and 3rd grade combo classes for five years and then a 2/3/4 combo class and finally a Tk, K,1,2 combo. I am so excited to be in a single grade classroom again. I did move to Missoula at the end of May so we are discovering the area and settling in to our new home. I am also working toward my Masters in Education Learning and Technology from WGU.
Kindgergarten is such an exciting time. Students are learning to be away from home for a few hours a day and beginning to practice social and academic skills with their peers. I am so blessed to be a part of that transition.
