    Hi Second Grade Families,

Oh my goodness, Where do we even begin?  Let us start by saying that we hope you all are well.  As we all know, this is a challenging time, for everyone.  We will get through this, one day at a time.  You all have been in our thoughts daily and we miss everyone so much.

This coming week, please use the online resources available on the MCPS website, click here. If you do not have access to internet during the school shutdown, Spectrum is offering free internet service for families - Please call 1-844-488-8398. (This number was confirmed this morning.  It is free internet access for 60 days, with no sign-on requirement after the 60 days.)

We understand that so many parents/guardians are eager to continue moving forward with their students learning. However, at this time we are referring only to the district website and reviewing previous taught material. This is essential in order to remain complaint within our district. Families are welcome to explore their own available resources. Students may also use online resources that were provided by their classroom teacher. This includes resources such as Moby Max, Star 360 to access Accelerated Reader, etc. Please also refer to Jeannette Rankin's Library Page for these and other online resources. Second Grade does have it's own tab within the library resource page. If you need logins for approved programs please email your classroom teacher for that information.

We are available during the school hours to be contacted if you have any questions. Remember we are here for you, so please reach out if there is anything we can do to help.

As things continue to evolve we will be keeping you updated on a weekly basis from our Second Grade Team. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this time. Tell your kiddos to read, read, read and read some more and hi from all of us!

    Stay healthy and safe!

Your Jeannette Rankin Second Grade Team
