    Language Arts-

We have introduced 2 reading centers for or daily 5 rotations.  We know and understand the importance of working independently on Read to Self and Word Work.

We are reviewing sight words and, you, I, and the this week.

We are reviewing sounds /a/, /s/, and /t/.

We are diving into our first class text, Stellaluna.  We will use this text for the next 2 weeks to learn about different elements of stories, writing, illustrations, and how these things work in combination with each other.

    Math

Counting on is adding.  Today we made equations for numbers 6-10 using 5 as an addend.  We call this a five group.

We will continue to make equations this week (number partners) as well as review numerical handwriting.
