My name is Jess Robbins and I am the Kindergarten-Third Grade Special Education Resource teacher here at Russell Elementary. I truly believe that I have the best job in the entire school district. Not only do I get to work with the best kids in Missoula, but I also get to spend time in our classrooms observing and assisting our amazing teachers. I have already learned so much in my short time at Russell Elementary, and I am excited for the 2019-2020 school year.
This is my 4th year teaching special education in Montana. I have also taught in my home state of Alaska. In addition to teaching academics like math, reading, and writing, I have a special interest in teaching social skills and emotional regulation strategies. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to learn more about the social-emotional programs we use here at school. There are strategies you can use at home -- believe me, I use them with my own kids!
Speaking of my children, when I am not at Russell Elementary, I love spending time with my husband, two sons, and dog. We love to play outside, watch cooking shows, and make big messes.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us! I look forward to meeting and working with you!
