Flagship Core Header
  • This year we're introducing Flagship CORE!

    What is Flagship Core?

Flagship Core is an afterschool engagement strategy geared towards supporting youth at CS Porter Middle and Franklin and Hawthorne Elementary Schools. Flagship Core will work with the same children, five days a week in an afterschool intervention that provides academic and behavioral support along with enrichment opportunities provided by community partners.

    When is Flagship Core?

Unlike regular Flagship Programs, Flagship CORE runs every regular school day. Students can attend Flagship CORE any day throughout the week.
Flagship CORE is not intended as a drop-in program. Students are instead encouraged to attend CORE as much as their schedule allows.

How do I sign my child up for Flagship Core?

Sign up for Core when registrering for regular Flagship Programs!
Flagship Core enrollment is open enrollment as well as on a referral basis.

  • I was born and raised just down the road, in Salmon, Idaho. I attended the University of Montana where I first received a bachelor's degree in journalism. Five years later I returned to the U of M, and earned a bachelor's in Biology and a master's in education. I've spent the last two years teaching various science classes to grades 8th through 12th in Bremerton, Washington and my hometown of Salmon, Idaho. I'm excited to be back and working in the Missoula School District. I'm married, have three children, and one corgi. I love spending time with my family exploring our beautiful state on the rivers and in the mountains. I also enjoy painting and science fiction/fantasy novels.
