Korbin Bragstad was born in Missoula and has lived in Bonner his entire life. Korbin attended Bonner Elementary School (K-8) and graduated from Hellgate High School in 2014. In high school Korbin participated in groups such as MUN, Key Club and Link Crew along with taking many of the first IB classes offered at Hellgate. Korbin now attends the University of Montana and is pursuing a degree in political science. He also interned for Forward Montana, which introduced him to public life and got him interested in serving on the school board. Grace Decker was elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2015. She has been committed to student-centered education in Missoula for over 20 years, as an early childhood teacher, school director, and education program coordinator. She currently works for Child Care Resources as an early childhood teacher trainer and classroom coach. She and her husband Josh have a son who attends Lowell Elementary School. Elliott Dugger joined the Board of Trustees in May 2017. He had a 20 year career in Georgia as a special education teacher and administrator. He holds a M.Ed. in Behavior Disorders from Georgia Southern Univ., an Ed. S. in Special Education from GSU, an Ed. D in Organizational Leadership from Argosy Univ.(Sarasota, FL.) and Juris Doctor from the University of Montana. He will be practicing law in Missoula. Dugger is a high school trustee, representing the areas of Seeley Lake, Swan Valley, Clinton, Potomac and Sunset.
Marcia Holland was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2009. She is an attorney with a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana and a juris doctor diploma from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is an adjunct professor at the UM Law School. She is involved with Kiwanis and serves on the boards of the Missoula Area Youth Hockey Association and the Women's Hockey Association of Missoula and is the past president of the University of Montana Alumni Association. Heidi Kendall was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2014. Heidi grew up in Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School. Diane Lorenzen was elected as a K-12 trustee in May 2013. She works as an environmental engineer, providing engineering consulting services to saw mills and other wood-products industries. Ms. Lorenzen grew up in Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School in 1979. Thanks to our great Missoula teachers, she had the opportunity to attend Stanford University and study Civil Engineering. Following college graduation, Ms. Lorenzen served two years in the Peace Corps in Nepal where she designed irrigation canals and village water supply systems. Jennifer Newbold was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2014. Jennifer is an attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, having earned her J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law with High Honors in 2013. Prior to starting law school, she served two years as an AmeriCorps member and completed her B.S. in Political Science at the University of Montana in 1998. She is married to Chris, and is mom to three children, two of whom are elementary students in the MCPS District. Michael Smith was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2010 and elected to the Board of Trustees in 2012. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He moved to Missoula in 1999 to raise his family in the hometown of his wife, Stacey. Before being elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2013, Wake worked for MCPS for four years, thirteen for the City of Missoula and eight years for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges in Reno, Nevada developing Child Abuse and Neglect teaching programs and periodicals.
