How to trace an image in preparing it to cut from the “Burn Table”.
Have an image stored.
Open AutoCAD – “Auto desk” (Red Capital A )
Make rectangle (Square) 12” X12” to give idea of finished scale.
Insert image use as back ground (Lock image to keep from moving once you have started.) You can send the image to the back, Lock and Fade the contrast to see your new lines better.
Create a new layer “ Outside” make a different color. This is the boarder of your cut out.
Create a new layer “ Inside” make a different color. This is the inside of the cutout.
With a Draw tool use the “Spline” ( first on the left) to create the line you wish to cut. Left click in short intervals to make small changes.
Connect segments with the “Join” command to link segments.
Look at image to make sure there is at least “1/8” of an inch between lines. (Measure tools works good)
Highlight the entire image and same as a “2000/ . DXF “ File (With flash drive)
